I'd have more sympathy if wikipedia mods weren't the densest fart sniffing motherfuckers on the planet that make reddit mods look reasonable.

If you truly think so, please explain

Several pages used to have really good info useful for a lot of people, some power tripping neckbeards killed it and banned anyone who reverted.

Pro wrestling pages used to have useful info about wrestler's careers including their theme songs and move lists which were useful for modders, a mod removed all of that eventually.

  1. As long as you discuss (and don't reiterate the same talking points while reverting), you won't get banned.
  2. I don't know much about wrestling, but I've searched it up. It appears that the "In wrestling" section was removed in 2018. Over 10 people discussed it, 2 !voted to keep and 8 !voted to remove it. This was because oftentimes these sections contained very unsourced stuff, such as a very long list of moves, and it was suggested to incorporate notable and sourced stuff in a "persona" section. The same seems to apply for theme music and if it is sourced editors seem free to add it into the rest of the article.

Over 10 people discussed it

And who were these people? Those mods themselves.

This was because oftentimes these sections contained very unsourced stuff, such as a very long list of moves,

Unsourced my ass. There is literal footage of all that available not only on torrents but also on streaming services. Then there are articles, reports, and in character interviews too.

There was no reason to remove it, the system worked fine for a decade.

As long as you discuss (and don't reiterate the same talking points while reverting), you won't get banned.

You can't argue with a wall, can you?

Only one of these users was a mod, which I take to mean administrator.

You can’t argue with a wall, can you?

How is it a wall? Just be reasonable and talk to them (meaning not in edit summaries) and you’ll be fine. You’re always free to discuss it.
