A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

So his name is really Lin-us and not Line-us?
I believe I saw a youtube clip of him saying his name and Linux that way, yes.

No. The Li sound is pronounced the same as in Lift or Lint and not Line.

Finnish definitely does not use that pronunciation
