Spoken like someone who's never experienced corporate middle management.
Spoiler alert: both corporations and governments are mired in useless bureaucracy.
They also have different failure modes that make them better at doing different things. The government would be absolutely awful at making consumer products, just as private companies are absolutely awful at providing healthcare.
Every tool is more useful in some contexts than others. Don't try to turn nuts with hammers.
I have, and I’ve experienced government middle management and regular employees who just bludge all day and shuffle papers and face zero consequences.
