Surely it would place a massive asterisk on all the trophies won during his time at Man City? In future discussions on the greatest manager would this be a talking point which stains our perception on him? Or will he still be lauded as the greatest by some despite the wider context?

People are being really harsh here. You’re a completely melon if you think he isn’t one of the best managers of all time, or at least in the modern era. Yeah he may not have the official titles, but he still has his teams playing a brand of football that’s super entertaining to watch, and dominated at two other teams before City
