This is why it's so hard to get fans onboard with putting pressure on refs. You get pissed when it happens to you and laugh when it's someone else. It's what happened with Liverpool. It's what happened with us. And it's what you're doing with Newcastle right now. Things aren't going to change if the pressure isn't coming from all sides for the same decision. Like it or not public opinion plays a huge role in how the PGMOL responds to certain decisions. That's why they responded the way they did against us.
Different competitions first of all, different referee boards. You want fans to rise up against the PGMOL for a European mistake?
Secondly I’ve seen nothing but smug and arrogant Geordies online pushing the “Get over it” line for weeks. It was obvious Arsenal fans would do this at the first chance.
I don't remember us being as big a cunts to Liverpool as Toon fans have been to us the past few weeks. Arteta hatred has literally been everywhere online.
You're right though. I feel like if this had happened to literally any other prem team we'd all be sat here being more supportive but because it's toon and they've been self righteous cunts the past few weeks I think we're allowed to have a laugh.
