Is this is another one of Wengers stupid ideas along with his ‘it’s quite clearly offside but onside rule’. Just leave the fucking game alone it needs simplifying again and getting the officials to use their fucking common sense instead of giving more stuff that they can fuck up or get confused by.
we already have DOGSO for penalties. we used to have double jeopardy do you remember?
a pen was given and a red, but then people said its unfair to get both i went for the ball so we changed the rule to say "okay you went for the ball still a pen heres a yellow"
so we can do the same "they went for the ball" to ensure on the actual cheating tactical fouls are punished with a sin bin
An orange would have been much more proportional to Reece James' offences on the weekend. The amount of reds this year from second yellows seems to have dramatically increased.
Surely this concept wouldn’t have changed that outcome, because a yellow + an orange wouldn’t happen? Thats still a red.
The idea, from what I understand, is that if the first yellow is cynical but not close enough to be deemed a red, then you’ll you’re essentially be booked + given a sin bin. If you’re already on a yellow you would still just get red carded for a 2nd yellow offence.

I see, sorry I misunderstood.
