To this day, I don't think anything is close — and I love Succession, Breaking Bad/BCS, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Fleabag, Arrested Development, The Office, and so on.
Besides the last couple of seasons, Game of Thrones was really good tv. Red Wedding is still one of the most shocking twists I've seen on any show.
My coworkers would call a dialogue-driven episode "boring" when those witty banters are the reason why I watch, lol.

I bet those are the same people that look at their phone when "nothing" is happening on screen. Good dialogue delivered by great actors are a joy ot watch.
