Wow, they're reaaallllyyyyyy trying to fight slipping into irrelevancy.
Makes me sad when people say that.
Indie games can't compete with many big budget games. How many Starfield ads were on TV? How many Lies Of P, Modern Warfare 3, Hogwarts Legacy social media ads did you see?
When a small studio hits a flash of lightning, I love when they go out to uplift other indie games. Instead, haters shit on them because they got popular?
Just because something is successful once doesn't mean it needs to be successful forever.
Not every game needs to be a franchise. All of these indie games were already successful. Nothing is being uplifted.
To be fair, I have seen nothing but people roasting Starfield, Hogwarts Legacy, and MW3.
Literally, my first thought was "That game is still around?"
