I dont get how people can be so porn addicted that they dont get hard. Im not a raging degenerate though
Because it's not real. Porn addiction isn't a medical condition. It's just made up by incels who want sympathy from others for making bad choice, and by man-fluencers who are selling toxic masculinity.
Lack of exercise, poor nutrition, bad sleep, and tons of other stuff that 4chaners probably do can definitely ekad to ED though. So it could just be yet another mixup of correlation vs causation.
Isn't it like gambling addiction?
Gambling Disorder is recognized by the Diagnostic and Statistics Manual for Diagnosing Mental Disorders.
Porn Addiction is not.
Used to be they didn't recognize a whole lot of things we now realize are actual things. I would be a bit careful about considering it an absolute arbiter on the matter
It would make sense that a layman would call "impulsive control disorder" an "addiction".
Imagine being so used to having a cup of strong coffee perk you up in the morning, that a cup of tea wouldn't be enough.
It's essentially the same thing.
Viagra would be the same thing. Porn, I don't get it.
There's sooooo much porn out there. Imagine the hottest women you can, performing your absolute favourite kinks and fantasies, it's a few clicks away, free and nearly unlimited. It's pretty hard for women in real life to compete with that.
Most of us have natural sexual attraction to other (real-life) people, but if the mind becomes conditioned to getting off when ever it wants in front of a computer screen then that can cause problems in real life situations.
Can't say I've had this issue. Real life is different, in a good way.
Anything in moderation is usually not too bad, a problem becomes much more likely if you've been masturbating to porn several times a day for months or years with no real life sexual encounters.
Howcome ive heard of guys who preemy cum when a girl just holds their hand then? Like, they can be absolutely depraved and something as benign as a hug can make them lose their motor control and cum buckets. Unless you have some absolutely twisted and psychologically fucked up pleasures then I dont know how comparing to coffee is the same thing.
Might be breaking news, but humans are different. You are talking about two extreme sides of a spectrum here.
