It's possible to feel two things at once you know.
Anon can both be happy to see this couple go through their milestones, and also feel a bit sad in feeling that their life has stalled by comparison.
Is it a good idea to live your life comparing yourself to other people? No it isn't, but even if you normally don't, there are times that feeling can creep in uninvited anyway.
The entire post is them comparing themselves to this couple, there is no feeling two things at once going on here.
Because it's a vent post - of course they're focusing on that internal feeling of sadness, that's the point.
If you actually read the post, Anon does state that they're happy for the couple multiple times, but they don't focus on that because not only would it not be funny, it'd also miss the entire point of the vent post.
As I said before, it's not healthy to live life by comparison, but it is perfectly valid to feel happy for someone else's progress while feeling a bit sad on your own introspection.
