Good to know. I've been going nuts trying to make a community on and off for like a week and it just won't go through when I press the button, I get stuck watching the spinning circle. I tried a couple different devices/browsers too. Hopefully it clears up on its own.
it could be that the community already exists? or not allowed characters? lemmy doesn't always show a proper error messages in a lot of cases.
This is likely the case. Ive gotten a few people reach out to me with this same issue. The update is around the corner, hopefully it fixes a bunch of these bugs
basically if you did something wrong, it doesn't tell you "error, you did something wrong", it just loads eternally, so you have to reload and retry. May be invalid characters, wrong format, too long a name, or whatever the server dislikes.
