No, common sense is asking them to leave or calling the police
No, common sense is either shooting someone who is threatening or trying to literally rape and murder you, or incapacitating them if you are big and strong enough and feel the need to. Self defense is a more important human right than any other right, and supercedes any rights any aggressor claims to.
We're talking about a human who is living in your attic without your knowledge. People like that are unhinged and dangerous. And legally squatters, for whom if you do not remove them swiftly and likely violently they will either take you to court and take your house, or otherwise be violent toward you and those you love.
And for you to claim otherwise means you're just a bad person. Goodbye
