I'm upgrading from an i5-6700 with a GTX1070. It has served me well over the last 7 years, but I want to play Starfield and future games. After 3-4 years, I'll be able to upgrade again. Any thoughts are appreciated! (I have considered AM5, but from what I've seen, it's cost prohibitive for me right now. If I should really wait, I could, but it'd be almost a year out. I have parts I can reuse right now that make AM4 much more reasonable for me.).

I think you will make it through fine with this setup, but you should still really consider trying for an am5 system for more paths to upgrading should you need to. This machine is pretty close to minimum specs for starfield, for example
