they must unlock their phone and the border guys go through the apps and make them unlock them. if they lied, they get disappeared.

so they can only claim they don't have any, if they deleted them from their phones and log in services related to their phones. even then, plantir, google and meta may have harvested something about them from before they wiped their phone.

This is why I think the "Dark Forest" philosophy of Internet usage is a wise one....if tragic.
