I'm sure black people didn't foresee how standing next to white supremacists was in any way helpful during WWII, or capitalists standing next to communists, or Christians standing next to Muslims, but it was necessary.

It's basic history. You're going to have to figure out how to stand with people you don't like very much, as much as you enjoy the 'leopards ate your face' jokes.

Though after the last six months, I imagine Democrats would rather hide in a bunker making 'leopards ate your face' jokes or writing sternly-worded letters than actually defeat fascism anyway.

Your analogies make sense if you identify a common enemy. We do not have a common enemy. They are directly supporting the enemy.

If you have anything more concrete to point to to explain your point I'm absolutely stumped.
