Maybe "tasty" is pushing it, but I've not tried them, so...

Are Jaffa cakes, cakes or biscuits? 😁

Cakes.

Although I accept them here as they're in the biscuit aisle.

They are, in fact, biscuits. They are cooked twice, baked then dried.

But they're also cakes. It's like a dried cake. Biscuit cake.

They're cakes, as ruled on by the courts in the case of McVities Biscuits vs HM Revenue and Customs (1991).

Cakes obviously.

The real question is which side is the top?

I'd argue its more obvious which side is the top than if its cake or biscuit. Obviously its a biscuit.

Is it called a Jaffa Biscuit? No, it isn’t. Because it’s soft. Like a cake.
