It's a great language and all the speakers I've had interaction with have been very kind about my lack of skill. Just do your best.
I did and shall continue to! Fortunately I'm doing it for myself rather than any external goal, so it doesn't really matter beyond being a personal disappointment if I fail. I feel like I'm almost good enough to be able to engage more with Gàidhlig media, which I think will be a good hurdle to cross
