Oh! I've only ever known this as clicking, not snapping.

Fascinating. My folks are from the Norwich area and they always say snapping. I'm sure it's a regional thing like everything is in the UK lol.
Off topic, but I only know of Norwich from Alan Partridge. Is he well known/liked there?
