Summary

The U.S. Department of Defense removed the webpage honoring Maj. Gen. Charles C. Rogers, a Black Vietnam War hero awarded the Medal of Honor in 1970.

The page now returns a “404” error, and its URL was changed to include “DEI.” Rogers, the highest-ranking African American to receive the medal, was awarded by President Nixon in 1970 for heroism during the Vietnam War.

The deletion follows Trump’s efforts to roll back DEI initiatives in the federal government, including an executive order terminating diversity programs.

The Defense Department has not commented on the removal.

It always infuriates me when I see people complain that "Trump did this" or "Elon did that" (referring to the Bluesky comments). Of course they did, this is exactly what they said they would do.

If someone aims a gun at their foot and pulls the trigger, you don't blame the gun. This is what the orange buffoon campaigned on, it's what the majority of Americans voted for. Put the blame where it belongs.

I don’t know why the Democratic Party thinks it needs to win over Trump voters and is willing to shift to the right for them. Awful people exist and they tend to vote Republican, trying to win them over is a losing strategy that will only push progressives and leftists away.
