I took a 2015 MacBook from work that was "too old" and didn't have a use about 5 years ago. It's been and still is a fantastic computer for me. It was specced out for its time and is still useful to this day running Ubuntu mostly, but can also boot Windows as well.
I recently took a 2010 MacBook Pro out of the electronics recycle while at the bottle depot. Installed Ubuntu and gave it to my buddy who was PC-less
