I think "most" people just believe uncritically the things they were taught growing up, that is until something happens that shakes that belief and they either choose to double down or reexamine their previous assumptions. OP’s referring to when I provided a link from the State Dept admitting they had no evidence of a Uyghur genocide. They also don’t accept non-western sources as legitimate, so demand that you provide a western source to disprove western propaganda.
