It’s special livery because it’s a government plane, so it’s likely carrying a VIP.

Mostly, I try to go for interesting liveries or planes (like the Compass Call I posted earlier). Or, sometimes a plane is cool just because it’s old, or a converted warbird or something.

At the end of the day though, it’s all just pictures from regular old activity at the airport, I like to scroll through aviation communities to see what photos others have shared, so I’m trying to go for that vibe too.

It seems /all is used here more than reddit, it wouldn’t hurt to describe a why for some of them. To me it seemed obvious, but for a non-nerd I could totally see them saying “uh ok, yes that is a plane”.

Came from /all too but that sweeping line, with the dark blue on a night sky, really emphasises the curve of the plane, in the same way a well tailored dress emphasises a lady's curves. Beautiful stuff :) Maybe don't show this to the NCD freaks, though.

I used /all back on Reddit too, and it's great to see you adding some non-political, non- Linux content for us!

Thank you for explaining, and thank you for contributing content to the Fediverse.
