In case anyone wants to delete all their reddit comment and posts before leaving, I used this nice little product that did it automatically for me:

My account is 17 years old, I wonder if it'd work with it or if it'd be limited to the last 1000 messages as I've seen as a normal API limitation

I had over 1k comments removed without any problems

Does this let you overwrite comments too instead of deleting?

yes! it's one of the options. you can change all comments to whatever you like.
