it's 13 degrees (!!!!) & all three rings are going at the bird feeder circus in the snow...
as far as i know, this is record-setting cold as well as a record-setting snowfall of 8 inches, at least while i've lived here in this house (34 years) it's never been anywhere near 13 f'n degrees... pretty sure the previous low was 17...

Maybe a better birder than me will chime in, but I think that's a Northern Mockingbird? They're annuals for me, such a hardcore bird to stick out these Midwest winters.

here's my buddy, i'm going to post this picture in a separate post in a bit but i'll also put it here so you can see the difference in proportions
it can get tricky with bird ID from a tight shot because you get no size information but the Mockingbird in life is also substantially larger
"My buddy" Mockingbird has extra white in his tail but you can't see it from this angle
