It's not about the individual, but the principle. Deadnaming or delegitimizing someone, even under the excuse that they are terrible, opens the door to deadname/delegitimize others for whatever other reason someone sees as valid.

Caitlyn Jenner should be in prison. But it should still be a women's prison.
