Not by default, by explicitly dismissing the minority status of a majority-trans community simply because they don't fit their expectation of a trans person.
If that's the dumbest thing you've read online I have some really bad news for you.
That sentence doesn't even make sense with or without the context of this conversation.

That's exactly what this community is lol
"I don't believe X" is not necessarily a statement about X. This is a prime example of it. They dismissed no evidence, they simply stated they don't believe something that there's plenty of reasons to find unlikely. ✌️
Right, bigotry isn't actually about the quality being marginalized, it's about reinforcing a desired hierarchy using whatever distinctions are most convenient and salient. Hard to paint them as bigots when they themselves are minorities; easier (and far more rhetorically salient) to simply deny their trans identity altogether.
