Likewise here, I'll mention it and give people a brief overview of what it is but I dont really push or recruit people for it. If they come that is great but putting on pressure won't make people want to jump over.

I agree with your sentiment there though, I'm all for the colapse of social networks as they are right now. What ever happened to the late 90s / early 00s mindset of dont trust anyone or put any personal information online that I was taught as a kid!? It baffles me how people are so willing to let the world know so much about themselves but I digress.
