Yep I get u. As a disabled person I eventually got used to the inevitable ableism on social media, lemmy is “better” than reddit or X, but it’s still shit.

Dude, you clearly haven't been to the internet. This place is vanilla af. An occasional sexist joke gets downvoted to hell.

Back in the days you just had change your nickname or avatar to something even remotely feminine and get blasted with attention. Simping, gifts, adoration, insults, unsolicited sexual requests, and most commonly clear disbelief that you're an actual woman with the classic "pics or gtfo".

There are no girls on the internets, man. And at least to some degree you could say it's for the best.
