Perchance - Create a Random Text Generator
⚄︎ Perchance
This is a Lemmy Community for perchance.org, a platform for sharing and creating random text generators.
Feel free to ask for help, share your generators, and start friendly discussions at your leisure :)
This community is mainly for discussions between those who are building generators. For discussions about using generators, especially the popular AI ones, the community-led Casual Perchance forum is likely a more appropriate venue.
See this post for the Complete Guide to Posting Here on the Community!

5. Refrain from requesting Prompts for the AI Tools.
- We would like to ask to refrain from posting here needing help specifically with prompting/achieving certain results with the AI plugins (
text-to-image-plugin
andai-text-plugin
) e.g. "What is the good prompt for X?", "How to achieve X with Y generator?" - See Perchance AI FAQ for FAQ about the AI tools.
- You can ask for help with prompting at the 'sister' community Casual Perchance, which is for more casual discussions.
- We will still be helping/answering questions about the plugins as long as it is related to building generators with them.
6. Search through the Community Before Posting.
- Please Search through the Community Posts here (and on Reddit) before posting to see if what you will post has similar post/already been posted.

I don't know what you're talking about, honestly. On a generated image that's suspected of being NSFW, there's a drop-down that lets you choose how long you want to allow NSFW images to show. Then you click Ok or whatever. And it shows the image.
I don't know of any "invisible" filter, that's removed after you generate a ton of NSFW images.
It won't "immediately" show, even after selected the drop down. That's the issue.
Just did a test. It has changed. Now it shows the following:
Click the button and it shows the usual dropdown. Change that, and tick the box that you're 18. Then click the button to save. The image then immediately shows up.
Which part of this is different for you?
I apologize for the confusion; I did a bit of investigation and here’s the clarification:
The filter I mentioned is located in the "Public Gallery," not in the generated batch shown to users. It operates as follows: after you generate NSFW content and choose to display your own NSFW (by turning off the filter in the dropdown located on pictures), and then go browsing "Public Gallery" with [none] filter applied, there will be no NSFW content visible in the "Public" gallery unless you generate NSFW content around 10 times. The NSFW content will not be displayed immediately; it's true that the batch you generated will be shown as you mentioned, but the public gallery won't.
This hidden rule only applies to the "Public Gallery." If you visit any image generation for the first time and check a known NSFW gallery name, the NSFW content will appear without any further restrictions. You don’t even need to click "generate" at all.
Ah I see. This does not happen for me, even still. https://imgur.com/a/0C2QVOU
Well then it's a bug rather than a feature 🐛💢 It's somewhat wide known "rule". A few experienced users always teach the newbie that as a bro science
Okay... I have been using perchance for like 6 months or so, looked at many different generators, and have never seen this happen. So, I don't know how I've managed to dodge that all this time, but you get it every single time. Very unusual...
Every single time and I'm not the first one. Someone even wrote it down as guide for the newbie.
