Btw you can block instances in your settings. Also I would argue lemmy.ml is not as “tankie” as the other two.
Yeah it's quite less tankie than the other two, but you can still be banned and/or have your content deleted for criticizing communism

Ok? Why does that matter if you’re not on their server
it doesn't matter at all if you don't post/comment on communities hosted there
Even if you do, the worst thing that can happen is them banning you on a bunch of their communities

I mean you can post and comment on the programmer humor community pretty long before stumbling on the topic of communism. But yeah I don't think we disagree here
lemmy.ml is not as tankie, but that bar is the height of my little toe.
Blocking instances at user level is pointless, they just repost to instances/communities that tolerate them and boom, you get to see their propaganda.
Also their users are encouraged to be deranged so you still have to deal with those.
It's always better to just isolate them.
