Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected] or [email protected]
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

So, you are a normal Korean person, but lacking all the knowlege of how to behave in the culture where you live.
You are getting strong conflicts with normal people and with the law every day. Very soon nobody will give you a chance anymore.
Conclusion: you cannot survive.
If you were full adult, sure. But at 10 years of age? You've got time.
There are tons of Do's and Don'ts even for 10 year olds. And Asian cultures are not very forgiving.
Yes, but at the same time they're not going to kick you out. You'll be in trouble for quite a while, but you'll survive and pick it up. They'll probably get a priest to exorcise you a few times.
Why not?
Asian cultures are not very forgiving of parents kicking out their 10 yr old kids
I've seen PokΓ©mon and they prove you wrong.
Wrong country :)
You said "Asian cultures", I'm like 100% sure it's a correct country.
Is the fictional world of Pokemon itself an Asian culture? It's not like Japanese people kick their kids out at 10 years old to capture animals in their balls. Though maybe I just don't know enough about Japanese culture... π€
Have you ever heard about the concept of a joke? If not, congrats! You've met your first one in the wild! Though you didn't really manage to catch it.
I have; have you? Cuz you seemed to have missed mine, Mr. Pot.
Signed,
Kettle
I don't think there are any cultures that are okay with that, except maybe some piece of shit criminal counter-cultures.
