I think it's hitting on with the fact that Americans are super impatient with anything and when they go to a restaurant they sit down they eat and then they leave there's no big wait period of socializing(usually), it also could be because it's frowned upon because we don't pay the waiters livable wages here, so for every minute that we're still sitting and not ordering anything we're taking money out of the Waiters pocket.

That's how ass backwards the US. But no the Tipping structure is apparently a better system lmao
