We let adults decide in 2016 and they fucked it up, so giving kids a chance makes sense.

My daughter’s high school held a mock election today. Trump won 52-48. She is in stunned disbelief like I remember being in 2016. :(

This makes me sad.

I went to a rural highschool and in 2016 Shrek won our mock election. I don't remember who got second or third though.

How big is the highschool? I know my old one would be Republican as I was a paria for saying we shouldn't ban burning the American flag in protest.

About 650 students. The school covers a good range of rural- to mid-density areas, maybe a little heavier on the rural side.

Ahh ok that makes sense, I had mix of rural and suburban with about 2500 students but we are also close to an air force base.

we had those in school too. 1976-84, and they weren't even close: carter. carter. mondale.

Imo 2016 was the most important election, now we're facing the consequences (of course 2024 could be the tipping point).
