This feels like it's about to get really messy.
Dont think there's much chance Mbappe goes to Saudi Arabia. PSG will presumably accept the bid anyway to try and force Real to submit one.
Real Madrid have already spent €130m this summer and would have planned the financial ramifications of the Bellingham & Mbappe signings in 2023 & 2024 a while ago.

Honestly, hoping he goes, and then Real end up destroying their FFP status to sign him after. Fuck Real, and fuck all of these oil clubs.
I'm not a fan of Real either and their income has been dubious at times, but I much prefer Real Madrid over PSG, Man City, Chelsea, etc.

well OP above assumed he would be threatened/punished with being benched, I am responding to that scenario, aka he would just not play for a year.
I don't think they will bench him, but they also won't manage to sell him.
They could just load him into a mass driver and fire him into the Sun. But nooooooooo murder's illegal...
