Seems like Russia may be suffering from some kind of literal panik attack.
I'm pretty sure they can't really afford to waste this kind of ressources anymore.
Crazy numbers for missiles, tanks and personnel today, and have been seen often recently.
Agreed. A high norm has been ~6 tanks, 10-15 APC/IFV destroyed, and 800-1000 infantry casualties recently, this has “FIRE EVERYTHING” meme levels of panik.
And now there’s been a blocking battalion identified, not just ad hoc commanders enforcing ’not one step backwards’.
Wait what?
I have missed this. Mind expanding on that last bit?
The russians literally have a Chechen battalion placed behind the assault line, whom specialize in shooting anyone that retreats.
Blocking regiments are common in meat grinder tactics. It's not exactly heroic, but it's a great way to keep payroll costs down when you're paying your soldiers several times the median salary.
Soldiers cost rubles. The dead cost nothing.
I'm not a real sociopath, I just think like one for fun sometimes.
