The theory of why Democrats move towards Republican positions is that they do it as a response to Republican victory.
We both agree this isn't how Republicans behave.
Let's also remember 2020. Every candidate ran to the left of Clinton. The reality was that they didn't move to the right after Trump's first victory.
So it doesn't look like this is how Democrats behave either.
This theory of politics isn't backed up by the observed reality. Why do you think that is?
