I've said this before when someone said the same thing.
Ok. You blew up the pipeline on your own land.
Now who has to deal with the massive constant fire, the possible wildfire, and the environmental clean up after the fire?
Ukraine. They did it this way to minimize the total damage. Now the pipeline is shut off, the controls are gone, and the environment is intact.
