Yeah - this definitely felt like it was just filling in some gaps - not enough to give away any secrets, but just enough to sort of firm up the foundation, so that it can then go on with the story.

And I'm ready.

Oshi no Ko Volume 1 Spoilers

It reminds me a bit of Oshi no Ko in the way that the murder mystery was only revealed a bit into the story and we transitioned to a revenge plot. IIRC, it happened right at the end of volume 1 and it changed the whole genre of the series. This series has been a mystery from the start, but it didn't have this revenge plot until just now.
