- If you found the image on the web, it is encouraged to put the direct link to the image in the βLinkβ field when creating a post, instead of uploading the image to Lemmy. Direct links usually end in .jpg, .png, etc.

This is so perfect. Like after all these years someone decided to overanalyze Goldilocks.
Depictions of couples sharing a bed especially on TV for example is a relatively recent phenomenon. It was considered polite to provide separate beds
Old TV shows made separate beds a thing for appeals to protestant morality. Prior to that separate beds was a rich people thing. Communal sleeping had been the long standing norm. It also appealed to Catholics who couldn't use birth control and therefor sometimes remained separated well into their marriage unless they were trying for children.
