recent: tears of the kingdom, or as i like to call it botw 1.2, its the same thing all over again just with one or two added gimicks, the open world is dead, npcs are boring and nintendo just got away with it like that

not so recent: i cant stand persona 5, joker and his entourage are annoying teenagers, the time management is a horrible gameplay addition and the artstyle is just a visual overstimulation

with that being said,~~ plz dont kill me~~

ToTK I havent played, but persona 5 even with its weird moments I enjoyed. It made me root for the characters, not for everyone ig.

Persona is very much an anime game, but it does it so well and tells a compelling story and the characters are generally fleshed out well and have their own human problems. Don't get me started on the gameplay, its fucking fantastic! Reminds me of pokemon but it does things differently enough and the fact there are extra abilites and Bonds help with that as well. I played 4 on PSP as my first delve into the series and that game is still one of my favorites of all time. Highly recommend persona to any that like JRPGs
