If there was an app or program that just visited random websites and searched various random things each day that people used in mass. (i.e. In the background its searching different medical conditions, apartments for rent, new cars. just nonsense as me, making fake calls to other bots )

Would that pollute everyones data enough to disrupt all the targetted advertising essentially making our personal info less of a tradable commodity and restoring the internet from the current hellscape.

I see this so often in the comment sections of various websites. Not only people not disable their antivirus while downloading from certain sites, but also they just install everything in their program files.

Program files should not be used to install cracked files.

In simple terms, program files folder is locked. Most if not all patches are unable to make changes in program files, hence, the crack or patches doesn't work. Not all guides mention this so here it is:

Create a folder in a non C drive. If you don't have a spare drive, just create a like C:\Cracks.

Install all crack games and programs in this specific folder. Ideally, create a download folder in this folder C:\Cracks\Downloads as well to keep everything tidy.

I have an audio book site I like to use if that helps. But instead of having to use the app every time. I’d prefer to just save the books to my phone so I can listen to them any time. (And because the app/site likes to forget where I was.)

Is there any way to do that? I don’t really want to have to dust off my laptop. But if that’s the only option I could do that too.

I've been looking to get back into watching pirated content on my PC, mostly movies. I have a few questions. The first two being what the title says, which browser would be the best in most cases for movies and which VPN would be the best in that case as well. The third being is would I have to worry about or even bothering with an anti-virus software when I watch said content.

Thank you guys in advance and I'm looking forward to the responses!

Sorry if this is breaking any rules, as far as I can tell it's not. Remove if so. Basically the title. Scrapped out several old cable boxes yesterday, and was wondering if there's a way to copy any shows / movies that might be on them, and have them be watchable and not encrypted

EDIT:

Why the downvote? Sorry I figured a cable company wouldn't make it easy to do.

Cable box I saved a big drive from was just a regular one like Spectrum or similar companies in the states would give you, no Tivos or anything. I already scrapped the steel, so I don't have a brand unfortunately

EDIT 2:

I tried popping it in my hard drive dock for giggles, and sure enough Windows 11 won't look at it without a format, which I don't wanna do just yet

So I just want an app where I can play MP3 files while my phone is either being used or asleep. Are there any good options?

Does anyone know if it's possible to sideload pirated audiobooks onto the kindle APP?

Kindle has this feature where you can simultaneously read and listen to a book... but only if you buy both.

As someone who reads a couple books a week I'd obviously prefer not to spend $50+ on each story.

I keep getting this error as im downloading it, and I don't know what to do. The last command was run just to check if it was downloaded succesfully, which it clearly was not.

If I run the python version of the install (python -m pip install git+https://zotify.xyz/zotify/zotify.git) I get this:

clone --filter=blob:none --quiet https://zotify.xyz/zotify/zotify.git 'C:\Users\Malek\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-req-build-q546ostx' did not run successfully.

│ exit code 128

I treid installinf FFMPEG and Scoop again, all was well. It wasnt because those are bad

Hi, in this guide I will quickly show you how to find links censored by Lumen Database caused by a DMCA complaint.

What is a DMCA complain?

A DMCA complaint is a formal request made under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to remove or disable access to online content that allegedly infringes on copyright. It is often submitted by copyright holders to platforms or service providers hosting the content. Lumen Database is a project that collects and analyzes these complaints to promote transparency and inform the public about content removal requests online. So Google remove the results of DMCA complains from the search page.

More infos: https://www.copyright.gov/dmca/ and https://lumendatabase.org/

These things are often annoying to us “7-seas adventurers” and get in the way of our noble purposes, so after this brief introduction, here is the guide:

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for what you will do with the misuse of this guide, as it is purely for informational purposes, and does not provide for the unlawful use of the material described.

Prerequisites:

  • disposable gmail account *

* You can create an account here (do it incognito using a vpn and reject all tracking options, etc.). For those who will ask why I can't use a temp mail service, the answer is that it doesn't accept any but the most popular domains (Gmail thus results in the fastest to create)

Process:

  1. Google what you are interested in, which Google will then have removed from its search page.
  2. Scroll down until you find a screen like the one in the image, and click on a complaint of your choice.

https://preview.redd.it/tzqmrvebb5af1.png?width=697&format=png&auto=webp&s=e18602b1857ce9457835f3266cd3f2310bc35fd1

  1. As you will see, there are now all the sites whose content is removed from the search page, but not the exact link.

So scroll down until you find "Click here to request access and see full URLs." and click on "Click here" 2. Now enter your disposable email, solve the captcha, and click "Submit". 3. Log in to your email and if all went well, open the email you got from Lumen Database. Click the link inside and you will get the page with all the original and complete links removed by Google. Enjoy.

Repeat the steps as many times as you like for as many claims as you like.

Update: I figured it out! I had qBittorrent bound to the wrong connection the whole time.

shows 2.5k seeders

shows no seeders

this has been happening for a while now, and i don't know what else to do.

Things I've tried:

  1. Updating qBitTorrent
  2. Torrents from other sites
  3. using different countries on my VPN (I normally use Proton's main sever in Switzerland)

any and all help and advice will be appreciated.

Edit: I am using the fully paid version of Proton

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that could determine whether Internet service providers must terminate users who are accused of copyright infringement.

In a list of orders released today, the court granted a petition filed by cable company Cox. The ISP, which was sued by Sony Music Entertainment, is trying to overturn a ruling that it is liable for copyright infringement because it failed to terminate users accused of piracy. Music companies want ISPs to disconnect users whose IP addresses are repeatedly connected to torrent downloads.

"We are pleased the US Supreme Court has decided to address these significant copyright issues that could jeopardize Internet access for all Americans and fundamentally change how Internet service providers manage their networks," Cox said today.

Hello, so I'm going to be showing you one of my methods on how I find the exact content I want for my plex server.

  1. First off, go onto any streaming website such as the ones in the mega thread like, 456movie.net or flixbaba.com (there's many options), then go onto whatever movie or show you would want to download and later add to plex
  2. Lets say I want to download the gladiator movie from flixaba.com, I would search it up on one of the websites. Press CTRL+SHIFT+I (open dev tools), go to network, and reload, when you are on the player screen REMEMBER TO FILTER BY MEDIA
  3. I'm using firefox so I press Media, and in the "Filter URLS" prompt I write "m3u8". For Chrome, don't press filter by media and instead just skip to searching "m3u8".

https://preview.redd.it/onda4n5dz3af1.png?width=2473&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b9b277df7e77fa3de71755d8f7bba18304468f5

EASY METHOD BELOW

BASICALLY, you can skip the finding m3u8 steps by getting an extension called Stream Detector: Firefox Chrome, you go onto the video, open the extension, reload and play the video. Remember to always copy the second HLS, remember to clear it every time you open another video. Choose the highest quality hls, you can check by opening in vlc. (your able to always choose another resolution in JDownloader) You can now skip to steps 5.

  • For Firefox, you select the "index.m3u8" that has higher quality and is the largest file size, right click on the file, and press copy url, you can check if it's the rigth one by double clicking and opening in VCL (don't worry its not going to have the big watermark).

https://preview.redd.it/tudj354rz3af1.png?width=1655&format=png&auto=webp&s=62a0cb57f8a4b28f5189c9ec3a69fec5fd83e27e

  • For Chrome, you would have to select the one that has the initiator as "index.m3u8" and you check by double pressing and looking at it's preview if the preview show different resolutions, its the one, or by downloading and opening in VCL, then right click, and press copy url.

https://preview.redd.it/13qn7u5vz3af1.png?width=1737&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f87daa0992f69d86039a63ecc504756f9d9e41b

  1. Download JDownloader2 and press "add new links" in the bottom left corner, paste the m3u8 link you just copied in and wait for it to search.

https://preview.redd.it/cyywul1904af1.png?width=1043&format=png&auto=webp&s=367c173a19c70fa884f673775e4432186f03bdd9

  1. Then, Click on the "plus" icon to expand the little folder and find the video that has the resolution you might want, such as the highest.

https://preview.redd.it/zys8phv014af1.png?width=1438&format=png&auto=webp&s=c91dca0038f5a3173c643b2a494f3eb253794741

  1. Then just right click on the desired video and press start downloads, you can check your download progress in the downloads section.

https://preview.redd.it/hp6mdqi214af1.png?width=2174&format=png&auto=webp&s=da8db964c607c88d2fbb39a9acadc26446f26f7d

8, You are done now, you have scrapped the video from the streaming website and source. I found this way to be better than using the mega thread, because I didn't want to listen to Hindi or watch movies that I hadn't wanted to.

If corporations refuse us ownership, then we will reclaim it by piracy.

“If buying isn’t ownership, then piracy isn’t theft” is fun to chant with defiance...and it's super clever. But it's not a full argument—and if we’re going to play the civil disobedience card, we need more than a slogan.

At the deeper level, the licensing regimes that govern digital content make ownership impossible. Even physical media—like a CD—come with licensing restrictions. And the terms are not negotiated or consensual; we are forced to accept binding conditions in order to participate in the cultural conversation. Meanwhile corporations reserve the right to change these contracts unilaterally without our consent. This is not a contract; it’s coercion. It is not between equals; we are being bullied.

What’s truly at stake here is dignity. The right to own something is a basic form of autonomy—not lease it indefinitely and lose it if we no longer ante up our monthly dues. With our autonomy goes our agency. We’re left dependent on sociopathic, profit-driven, shareholder-appeasing corporate players who can change terms beneath our feet. Past investments we've made into our accounts count for nothing; the game is to keep us on a short leash and feeding their endless money glut.

Civil disobedience requires a public articulation of our cause. That’s what this subreddit does, and it has already been noted in mainstream media. We have begun to make our case. However, critics will say that our anonymity weakens our case. But this misses another point we're making: the same corporations that deny us ownership also deny us privacy and commodify our identities. Tracking our behavior and harvesting our data is how they manipulate and monetize us. Remaining anonymous is not cowardice—it's rebellion against a system that has made our visibility a form of vulnerability. It frees us from their control and unnerves them when they can't bully us directly and must deal with us as a movement.

So yes, piracy is rebellion, protest, civil disobedience for our digital age.

Treat us like humans. Treat us with dignity again—and we’ll gladly leave the high digital seas. Break the stranglehold of capital on our necks; put a leash on these monopolies by severing content creation from content delivery to allow true competition again.

Until then, ARRRRRR! this is how I fight back.

The Weekly General Discussion Thread is for the r/Piracy community to discuss whatever is on their mind, whether it is related to digital piracy or not.

🪶 ➜ Follow the Rules

  • Rules are still applicable, so please do not request specific pirated content (ie. specific movie, book, etc.) and definitely don't link to any. Do not mention specific media names asking for help in finding them.

📜 ➜ Wiki + Megathread

  • Don't forget to browse the Wiki, which contains a Megathread with a list of sites/apps, tools, FAQ, and other useful resources.
