This dilemma has been eating me and I can't find an answer for myself. I have LG C2 42 inch, cpu is 5800X3D. So the 4070 ti super is kind of fine, but barely, for example for Rival Marvel in order to get the constant 120fps.I have to set everything to lowest (except textures) and use dlss performance ??

So the 1440p oled monitor is going to look worse since I'm already used to 4k smooth graphics. And the rtx 5000 is expensive as hell and the generational leap isn't even worth it the price difference.

I saw the app "Lossless Scaling" has frame gen and even MFG, will this work and feel good?

No benchmarks are out yet but It seems that if you already have a decent 4090 card then a 5090 would be a measily upgrade. The 4090 is already overpowered for 4k gaming and DLSS. I bet the 5090 would only on average about 30-40 FPS more than a 4090 in most Triple A games and graphic visuals would look exactly the same as a 4090. That and what? An extra 6 gigs of GDDR6X ram 24vs32? Meh.. Do you agree or disagree? I think if you are upgrading from a 30 series card then also don't bother with a 5090 - just pick up a 5070 and call it a day for $549.

Original Title: Wow, it's just impossible to get a 4090/4080 at MSRP right now. I would have thought it would get easier to get one now that 50xx series is announced! Also seeing a lot of scalpers/3rd party resellers selling stuff at shady prices.

Please read the whole thing before you comment. I know this title is not pc related. Also I didn't feel like posting this but I feel like i should. Cause this is just outrageous.. I am 22 years old. I am also doing a job. Well basically i only go for two days. Then after 3 months, i can actually get paid. Which means i have to go 5 days week

As you know the New Assetto corsa game is here, and I am having an idea to buy it. So i was having a conversation with my father. Then i said i am planning to buy a game. But when my father heard me about purchasing a game from the money I get. He had this look. He was like i been playing games since 2014.(i am 12 years at that time) and i haven't still gotten enough it. It annoyed me cause despite me doing good. He sees a fault in me for still playing games . It's what i like.

This began spiraling into a argument about why I should earn money in the first place. Also for right now it's really hard to get anything in my countries economy. It's going to take me a while to actually get some decent things like a car. My point is that i do what i want with my money. If i can't do then then their is no point of earning. My interest is gaming and honesty that will never change no matter how old i am. As long as I am getting the work done and become productive human being. I feel like it's okay to play games. It's my passion.

I knows this not the right sub. But you guys can back me up right. I seen people from age 12-50 build pc's almost everyday. And most of them play games on it . Most of you do good jobs and still have kids. Gaming is bill billion dollar industry because lot of people plays games. It's also creates jobs as well. If you guys can give me your point of view on this situation. If you can also state your age and what job you do and if you have a family. Maybe i can show this comments to my father as well. they won't do anything crazy. But in the past my mother gets riled up. Still does but it's way more less

I'm currently in need of an upgrade, I have a 4080 super gpu paired with a 5800x which tbh I'm pretty sure is holding back my gpu pretty good. I'm currently playing a huge variety of games as well as making YouTube videos so a faster CPU and ddr5 ram would be a really nice upgrade. I can get a 7800x3d at Walmart for 399 USD or I could get a 9800x3d for like 570 USD on walmart, I'm not sure which one is the better choice based on pricing, I'm leaning 7800x3d based on price but don't know if I'd be missing out not going for 9800x3d

A new PC Gamer.

Now, so I've seen people call the 4070 a Budget card. This seems absurd to me. Usually, the newer cards would be more powerful, wouldn't they?

Me as a PC gamer, I don't plan on playing any Competitive games, but I also want the best picture quality I can get.

I am in the minority here, but I don't really care if my PC can output 150 fps and give me 4k picture. Isn't it fine if I game at 4k 50 fps?
