Supsup,

I have an option to go through quite a bit of Arrow lake cpus, 265k/285k, and select the one i want. Which means that i can try to find the one with good silicone/memory controller.

I will be testing on 2dimm z890i Nova.

What ram stick should i pick to test the CPU? What's the current meta? Should i test on both normal and cudimm? Should i pick something like 6000 and try to get it to 8000, or get 8000+ cudimm and push towards 10000?

Hey everyone,

as the title says, I'm having a hard time trying to turn off GDM while running 1T on my B-dies.

Pretty sure I found my optimal CAD Bus values — 54, 52, and (I think?) 38 — but honestly, not 100% confident about the last one. From what I've read (link below), CKE mainly helps with posting, and I can already post fine without tweaking it. Just setting 52 is enough for me to boot.

That being said, I'm still kinda confused. I followed a tutorial, but I struggled to fully understand what I was doing. Sorry if I'm being a bit clueless here, lol.

Right now, the real pain is setting the Drive Strengths.

I've tried a few options, and my RAM seems to like lower impedance, like 20 and 24. Anything higher than 30 and I get an instant BSOD or TM5 starts throwing tons of errors.

This is with my current stable OC, btw.

I'm open to any suggestions, including tips on how to tighten my overclock even further! Thank you all!

What do you think about hwinfo screen? PBO +200Mhz and undervolting -50 with air cooler Burst Assassin 120. I'm worried about voltage and frequency data during stress test.. Are they ok? I don't want damage my cpu. My score was 14782 in multi-core 10 minutes.

Just got a 14700k and have a measly air cooling setup, thus needed to power-limit the CPU. 200W TDP for PL1 and PL2 keeps me around 90c (higher when the 3080ti gets active, but will be replacing that), and a -0.12 voltage offset is stable when running CPU-z and XTU stress tests (will keep playing as I continue to tune).

Strangely, when I enabled my Corsair DDR4-3200's XMP profile, my CPU-z tests went from roughly 14700 (purely coincidental score) to 13550. XTU score also dropped. I'm able to verify the XMP is enabled by looking at clock=1600MHz in HWinfo64

I'm pretty new to overclocking so any tips would be greatly appreciated in understanding why XMP is reducing my performance - at least in these two tests - and what I can do to get the most out of my setup (specifically for gaming) while limiting TDP to ~200W. Thanks!

I have my oc profile set to apply at start up and it will apply the overclock for about 10 seconds when i start up my pc but then it quickly reverts to the stock settings.

I've tried to delay the start up in the config file by changing the delay to 30000 (30 seconds) but that doesn't fix it, and it actually doesn't even seem to delay the start up at all.

When I open afterburner it shows the oc profile that should be applied but the memory and core clocks don't actually apply until I reselect the profile and click the tick.

Its a very minor inconvenience lol, but I've never had this be an issue before.

Any ideas?

How do i stop the power limit throttling , i increased the turbo boost short power max , boost power max , power time window , i have a llano v12 cooling pad for my laptop , but still the power limit throttling isn't stoppping. Mine is a lenovo LOQ 15irh8 i7 13620h

ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming Wifi II (Gen 2 Z790)

i7 13700K running stock (5.3Ghz P-Core Locked, 4.2Ghz E-Core Locked, 4.8Ghz Ring OC'd locked) 1.385V idle droops to 1.305V max AVX2 load voltage. No undervolt headroom, no frequency headroom. - 260W Power Limit set and it only hits 255W running max clocks without throttling on a DeepCool AK620.

T-Create 7200 C34-42-42-86 XMP 1.45V (3GB M-Dies) (2nd gen M-Dies that went in 24GB sticks)

I got them running at 7000MT because my IMC cannot do 7200. This timing sheet displays the absolute minimum timings the sticks can run stable without regressions. Honestly very good bin these IC's are.

1.65DD, 1.5VDDQ, 1.35 IVR (VDDQ TX), 1.3V SA, 1.5V IMC

I have a Ryzen 5 5500 that I am over clocking. Right now I'm at a stable 4.42Ghz at 1.3v, getting a max CPU temp of 83c in Cinebench. My friend is telling me I'm safe to keep pushing my OC until I hit 90c temps during Cinebench and at that point I should stop and maybe try to dial back the voltage if it will let me. Thoughts?

I'm looking for a new case so that I can finally overclock my 4090. From what I've come across so far the Fractal North XL with the mesh side panel seems to be the best looking one that I've seen so far. What are some other options I should consider? I'm not set in stone about having no window though so if you have some nice ones with glass side panels feel free to recommend some to me.

Additionally, what are some fans which have a good performance:noise ratio. Thanks.

Hi everyone! I have the Radeon 9070 XT from Asrock, Steel Legend one. I am wondering if I can flash the Taichi vbios or the Nitro+ one for the higher TDP and clocks. Is this something that I can do risk-free if I make a back up of my own vbios? Has anyone done it? The card doesn't have a bios switch so I would essentially be running only the vbios I flash if I were to do this. Appreciate any input!

Hello,

I just got a Core i5 14600KF and have read a lot about all the controversy surrounding processors from this generation.

To be cautious, I already installed a contact frame from AliExpress during the build.

What am I looking for?!

A tip for a safe and stable undervolt.

My AIO cooler is the Asus TUF LC II 240 model.

I’m also sharing Cinebench tests with the CPU at stock settings, as a reference to check if everything’s running properly.

In all the tests, I got zero sensor errors (WHEA).

Hello all,

According to ASUS QVL, the Corsair 8000C38 is NOT in the QVL, and thus doesn't seem to be setting resistances properly (DOCP or not), which makes it a PITA to get stable. I've been tinkering for a week trying to find the 'sweet spot' to keep stables to no avail. The full part number is: CMP48GX5M2X8000C38

Has anyone managed to get these stable at 8000 and can share their resistances/ZenTimings please?

Thanks

I just installed 3D Mark to Benchmark my gpu but. But when I run it, it only work on Intel integrated gpu. I can't find the option to scan the other 3050

If possible what is the benchmark for rtx 3050 6gb 95W. And i7-12450HX.

Note: it's a lenovo loq
