I have been having issues using real debrid. One of the big issues is downloads getting stuck continuously retrying. I think this is because I am using 5G internet that has issues with latency and occasional packet loss. Similarly I get buffering issues when using Stremio.

Another problem I am having is with the permission set by the real debrid client if I use the docker version. It doesn't allow for changing the UID and GID the real debrid process uses. This causes problems for the other services, though I can work around this using a manual installation in an LXC container.

Does anyone with more experience know how to fix this?

Edit: I can't edit the title to fix the spelling. You will just have to deal.

Edit2: Fixed the permission issues. Also managed to work out that the problem isn't 5G. The download client is just bad. Apparently you can use external downloaders, but this requires deploying services like aria2c, which it turns out is actually quite hard.

I used to have a script that would check a text file that I had hosted on nextcloud so I could paste in spotify URI's whenever I wanted, then nightly it would run a bash script that would leverage spotify-ripper (https://github.com/hbashton/spotify-ripper). It would see if tracks were already downloaded, and skip them, and download anything missing. It would take care of the album art and ID3 tags and everything, straight from the source.

I've seen a few suggestions, like lidarr-extended, but that does not allow you to plug in spotify credentials, for example. There's zotify, and ZotifyFrontend, but looks like it's not really able to "sync". I also found DownOnSpot but that seems like Zotify but different.

Are there any good solutions anyone is using currently?

Just thought I'd mention that and leave it here for no particular reason

Hello people, lets assume someone has installed citra on their Windows PC before it taken off and now wants to make it into a portable app so that it can also be used on other computers as well without an installer. How would this theoretical person go about doing this, would just copying the installation folder be enough, or would they need to do something else?

Okay, I found this on Reddit and I had to share it.

A guy shows up in r/bbs, a subreddit dedicated to classic and new computer bulletin board systems. I'm a big fan. Anyway, this guy shows up and says: Hey, does anyone remember the BBS game my dad wrote? It was called Buccaneer, and it was a pirate game you played on BBSes. Dad died six and a half years ago and I just wonder if anyone heard of his game?

Turns out... people have heard of Buccaneer.

One person has it running on their board. Another person was able to share the ZIP file for others to put it on their boards. Oh no! It was software you had to buy if you wanted the full version of it. But Dad is gone, and the kiddo has no idea how to open up the software to everyone.

No problem, someone posted a quick C programme that will generate keys for you. The kid might be crying because now even more people can play his dad’s game.

There’s some kinda lesson here in abandonware, but also in humanity. This kid may or may not own the copyrights to his dad’s stuff. Who knows? But one thing he certainly doesn’t have is the ability to make it work.

But because of a few folks on the Internet, running some old software, and someone who took a few minutes to write a keygen? Well, his dad is still out there somewhere, and he’s playing pirates.

Ahoy!

I got a new phone yesterday. I also use a wheelchair. The wheels have an app called "e-motion M25" which I used on my old phone. I patched it using lucky patcher since most functions (turn wheels on, cruise control, remote to drive the wheelchair to my current chair) are behind an incredible expensive paywall.

Since I don't own the wheels (they're technically still insurance property) and the software isn't super reliable, I won't pay over €300 just to use my wheels.

But I can't seem to patch it on my new phone, even when sharing the patched app directly from my old one. The store simply won't open. I've not been rooted since forever and prefer not to root at all, since it was possible to do so on my old phone.

Would anybody care to help me out or give me some tips on where to look? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE after spending my entire morning on the floor, I installed older versions of the app until I found one that worked with luckypatcher. I know it's a small chance but if someone using the same wheels finds this post, you have to figure out how to download luckypatcher and use this version of the app. In lucky patcher create a multi patch APK and make sure to turn off "billing" in the second screen. When opening the store, be careful not to scroll to the complete bottom or else the app wil crash. Buy each pack individually and lucky patcher will handle things from there.

To every commenter: thank you. Lemmings are the best and capitalism is the devil.

I've made a full archive of Yuzu

Hi I've made a full archive of Yuzu. That would include all their Github issues, the git repo on its last version, the latest available release binaries from the Github page, and all of their progress reports from the Yuzu website. The progress reports are good for understanding the general work and weaving a narrative in your mind about the trajectory of the Yuzu project, and the Github issues can outline resolved issues and outstanding ones.

I do not include any illicit materials in my archive. If you seek keys, roms, firmware, etc, you won't find it here.

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:404295db91d035ae11395ad1755ab7e5dc8b6f19&xt=urn:btmh:1220f2bd7dbfd7ec2e25c9e848cf0b17d771332e57e3ba109368e111c0a45967966e&dn=yuzu-full-archive&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fopentracker.i2p.rocks%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.opentrackr.org%3a1337%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.auctor.tv%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2fopen.tracker.cl%3a1337%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.torrent.eu.org%3a451%2fannounce&tr=https%3a%2f%2fopentracker.i2p.rocks%3a443%2fannounce

While I'm happy to share this torrent for basically as long as possible, I do not have port forwarding available. So if anyone wishes to have these materials and possibly has a seedbox, please assist! Also this is like the first time I've ever created a torrent, but I'm pretty sure I did it right.

P.S. I am completely unrelated to Yuzu team members. I'm just a saddened user like everyone else.

For reasons that I don't understand to this day, my empornium account was locked years ago, and I have never found anything else close to having the depth of archives of BDSM/fetish material that it had.

Are there any alternatives out there?

My ISP seems to be throttling my VPN connection. Just started a week or so ago. Anyone have any tips for correcting this shit?

Edit: Sorry, I didn't leave much info. I guess I was thinking in more general terms. I use PIA, have for years. I've tried to change protocols and ports, my VPN speed still sits around 10K. Just ridiculous. Speed test without VPN:

SOLVED!! OK, I'm an absolute idiot. The tl;dr I had accidentally toggled the Toggle Alt. Rate Limits setting. Thank you everyone for attempting to help that which couldn't be helped!

How can I ensure that qbitorrent is actually seeding? I have this torrent with triple digit peers, barely any seeds and it's seeding at 0 byes / second. It says I've uploaded a lot but nowhere near a 1:1 ratio for this torrent.

I'm trying to be a considerate pirate. What settings do I change to make it seed more?

I'm aware that this community is not usually happy with the content that's available above-board for-free under-restriction. For instance, free with subscription, or free with ads.

But I have found myself obsessed with library cards recently.

Libraries grant access to pretty expansive collections even online: movies, tv, music, and ebooks are just the beginning. Genealogical resources, vehicle repair manuals, business contact databases, academic journals, and periodicals. One of my libraries granted me access to Udemy Business through Gale. I honestly can't detail every database/collection/resource i've found available through the 4 libraries who have granted me useful access.

But I seem to have hit a wall. The New York Public Library says "visitors" may get a "temporary" card, but the number they gave me expired after 2 weeks and didnt get me access to any of their online offerings anyway.

Paris says they'll happily issue me a card. All I need to do is fill out the form (in french?!) and show up in person with photo ID. /s

Surely, I'm not the only one who has decided to try to collect library cards like pokemon cards. I imagine there are philanthropic libraries or national libraries or something that I just don't know how to look up. I'm looking for any library that will issue me a card regardless of residency, but for reference I am in the US if that's the only residency requirement. Anyone got tips?

To compile optimal video, audio, and subtitle track combinations of videos for my media library, I've found MPC-HC's millisecond counter and frame skip features useful for finding the exact offset between different video and audio tracks. After using MKVToolNix to combine the video track of an MP4 file with the delay-adjusted audio track of an MKV file, I noticed that the resulting MKV file was 0.143 seconds (about 3.5 frames in this case) shorter than the original MP4 file. As the frames of both videos remained in alignment until the end, it seems that the 0.143 seconds were taken off the end of the video.

Is there a difference between the two formats that affects video length?

I was reading a few days ago in a post somewhere that there is an open signups/open invites sub here, can anyone link me to it?

I can't seem to find them anywhere. I'm especially interested in Workday Recruiting Fundamentals and Workday Advanced Recruiting, but happy to get any workbooks as long as they are searchable rather than printed from VitalSource as pictures with watermark.

First of all a disclaimer: I am not upset about the removal of manual server selection as this is a free service. They don't need to provide such services at all, so something is better than nothing.

What happened:
This morning I opened the ProtonVPN app on my phone and got greeted with a message stating free accounts can now only use automatic server selection and addition of free servers in Poland and Romania.
However, I also noticed split-tunelling is now paywalled as well.

Now, this is rather weird. Split-tunelling is already in the app and is something that works only on the client side, thus not putting any extra load on the servers. Quite the contrary, actually, as it allows some apps to not use the VPN, thus use less bandwidth.
The automatic-selection-only allows for better load balancing, so that makes sense.

Now to the workaround.
They still allow manual OpenVPN and Wireguard setup even for free accounts, at least for now.
To do so, login to ProtonVPN and go to account. There's OpenVPN credentials which are used for OpenVPN authentication. Then go to downloads, select appropriate options including the specific server and download the ovpn config file.
Client: OpenVPN for Android
This app also supports split tunneling (edit config -> Allowed apps).

ProtonVPN has an article on how to set up this app, but it's really just importing the config and adding your OpenVPN ProtonVPN credentials which you grabbed before.

I need help download lectures from https://ww.pw.live . I have the subscription for now but want to keep the lectures for future reference.

It was easier to download before as the link was to be modified a little and it would download through yt-dlp. They have recently changed their cloudfront servers and the old method does not work.

A new method was shared in YouTube but it only allows downloads through 1DM app on Android and through a telegram bot. It uses the following website 'https://psitoffers.store/1dm.php?vid=[VIDEO_ID]' to add some Policy ID, Key pair ID, Signature to the original link. When I paste this link into yt-dlp it throws 403 Forbidden error.

I have checked the DL links in 1DM. The Policy ID, Key Pair ID remain the same while the Signature changes for each lecture. How can I generate my own or get them from the browser, and pass it to yt-dlp for batch downloading? I saw a section named Policy, Key Pair ID, signature in cookies but they don't have any ID value.

I don't know what streaming method they use but it shows as octet-stream in the network tab.

I tried asking the dev of the new method, but he won't reply anything.

Please refer me to any other resources that may help me with this.

All these news about Yuzu made me realized I never tried a switch emulator. For education purposes I am interested in guides with links to prod keys. Anyone have any links?

Thanks in advance!
