This is 100% correct, but I don't think most people buy vinyls because of the audio quality. I own plenty of vinyls, but I know for a fact that my CDs and even higher bitrate FLACs stomp all over it for audio quality. Records are just kind of fun and nostalgic.
While I think your system allows for some really odd edge cases, I like the way you think.
I wonder if people using steam decks know they are running Arch.
These results seem freaking bizarre and I'm highly skeptical. You're telling me that Slackware users, freaking SLACKWARE, are the happiest? And Firefox is the least happy? I am so much happier using Firefox than have been with Chrome for at least a decade.
Microsoft low key had the same stance back in the late 80s to mid 90s and it definitely helped cement their dominance.
The original purchase was just luck as they were 90% off. I would have bought 10 if I could at that price. I'm a bit of a peripheral snob, so when I find something I like, I lean into it probably too much.
Perhaps so, I don't have the data to verify other than the recession which was at the very start of 80s and certainly didn't define the next 20 years. That wasn't what I commented about. I think the music and movies were awesome, not awful at all.
I lucked out and bought three (original) MX518 on clearance at a Target after they were being phased out in favor of the (inferior) original G5 laser mouse. I gave two away as gifts, but the spare lasted me many years. Technically it never stopped working, but I wanted to try out the newer models and their nicer cables and teflon sliders. When the remade version came out, I bought one and when I realized how much better it was than my Tron-like Logitech mouse they has been pushing, I bought a second one so that I could hopefully go decades until I needed to worry about this. That backup new MX518 is still in the box, so my plan has been a complete success.

Just make an MX518 or equivalent mouse forever and I'll keep buying them forever. This isn't rocket science Logitech.
I'd say the second trilogy (well, quadrilogy) is also great.
