Mira might not be the brightest monster, but she seems to have the hero figured out perfectly. Despite this plan's stupidity, he acted exactly like she imagined he would.
Rak bursting onto the scene and driving Khun into action. It's just like that one trial from the first season where Khun couldn't pick a door. Really curious to find out what his role is in the workshop battle going forward. Is he just part of Khun's team now that he knows about Bam/Rachel? Though, I feel like the lid on that secret is pretty loose at this point after Endorsi found out and got the free VIP pass onto the ship.
Hana was great this episode. That whole fishing trip just to flex on him right at the end. I was also surprised that she was a high schooler, but I did like her high school hair with the ball braids?
That Akane scene was powerful. She knew this whole side of Aqua that nobody else did (except maybe the director?). She is alone in mourning what could have been if Aqua had included her in his plans and they came up with something else.
I expect that we are going to get some focused scenes of the others going through their own mourning process in the final two chapters. Kana is famous for crying after all, so we are owed at least one dedicated crying Kana panel. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Ruby decides to follow Aqua. She had just recently found out that Aqua was her long lost sensei. This is going to be reliving that loss all over again on top of losing her brother from this life. We are on the path of total tragedy here.
This series now has too many losing heroines!
Kana gets one final loss, while Akane has seen through all of Aqua's schemes. I was surprised not to see much Ruby this chapter, but we might get that next chapter.
Only two chapters left!
The classic "fall off a ledge" trope claims another one. That credits page killed me.
I haven't watched Tsurune, but I remember the anime subreddit had a new clip of the sakuga each week as this was airing. Such a beautiful looking show.
Some seasons are like that. I have also had seasons where irl stuff caused me to not really get into a show that I later enjoyed a lot. We don't watch this stuff in a vacuum and stuff going on in the rest of our life colors how we receive something. There are decades of anime or even non-anime stuff out there to explore. I have mentioned elsewhere that I kind of have a list of shows/manga that I know I am probably going to like, but haven't watched/read yet, that I can turn to if I need something like a palate cleanser.
Make sure to love your cats! Here's mine from just now:
So we got some confirmation from last episode that the eyes flashing bit is essentially breaking Alicia's brother free from being charmed by Liz. It's not really clear if this effect is due to some external magic, or the rules of the game world forcing it, but at least one of Alicia's brothers and Duke are not under Liz's charm any longer. On that note, Duke was a lot less creepy this episode, but I doubt he has actually reformed his means of courtship in any way.
Still not sure what Alicia's plan with Rebecca in Roana might be, but at least Rebecca seems to be carrying out her part competently. It seems like this town is essentially a prison colony that has since been abandoned. They don't even have any kangaroos or koalas to console themselves with.
I really liked the little mental chibi Alicia that was running all around the tea party table. It was a decent way of doing an extended internal monologue scene while still having some kind of animation happening on screen.
Finally, I loved her making her entrance to the tea party. Not only has she nailed the black/red Villainess color scheme, but she drops this line as an opener, helping set the tone right off the bat. She is not Liz's friend, she is here to be combative every step of the way. A true devil's advocate in order to help Liz become the best version of herself. It seems like only the ones that have broken free from Liz's charm are able to see it though. @[email protected]
Came across this series and got to add it to the pile of cute cooking series I follow.
