What don’t understand is- if the US “left” is so committed to non-violence, why have we not seen a tech-rebellion? Why is there no cyber-“terrorism” or white hat hackers fighting this shit? Democrats have spent the last four decades loudly and proudly insisting that they’re smarter than the ignorant conservatives- so why aren’t they hard at work at outsmarting them?

Without that last resort, violence is going to have to be what it comes down to.

This, or republican representatives growing a spine/conscience, are the only ways this stops.

The first of those is a non-starter, so what I’m saying is, this is the ONLY way this stops.

I’m Canadian who hates guns, and my wife is Bolivian. We live in rural Saskatchewan, but in light of “51st state” talk we have have purchased firearms and hit the gun range a few times in the last couple months. Do we think the two of us can stop the US military, should it come to that? Of course not. Have we had the conversation about what we would do and what we’re willing to sacrifice together for our country? Goddamn right we have. We have a pretty good life and are fairly well off- but we’re both absolutely fine going out together and taking out as many MAGA shitheads out as we can, if needed. If we had young kids the calculus would maybe be a bit different- but we don’t, and it isn’t.

All this to say, if we lived in the US, we would absolutely be armed to the teeth.

It’s a good thing the US hasn’t totally embraced sidestepping the constitution with the very clever and not at all adolescent-brained use of black sites…

Can anyone think of a single thing the administration has done since January that didn’t make the US a clearly worse place than before?

Are you saying someone should warn a bunch of abject cowards off of following the only halfway courageous instinct they’re ever had?

What a dogshit headline

Or weapons. It could be fought with weapons.

First, why has not a single person even attempted to physically deny these people access? Second, why can the resistance not muster up a tech-based offense? I refuse to believe that all US cybersecurity experts or hackers are alt-right shitheads and DOGE goons.

Cool, so Americans have had a quarter-decade of constant and unrelenting evidence that complaining is roughly as effective as doing nothing.

Do you want a list of lawful US residents imprisoned and tortured in Gitmo who have been determined to have no ties to terrorism? The US has been Nazi-adjacent from the time nobody batted an eye about the “Dept of Homeland security” and “the Patriot Act.”

Ice / Homeland security is basically the Gestapo now.

It always has been for literally millions of people.
