Here I am on my phone. I do not desire this format. And nothing you have posted suggests that anyone wants this format.

All it shows is device, not preference.

Anytime something is recorded wide screen my wish is that it remains in that format, regardless of platform I am on.

If I'm on my phone it takes less than half a second to rotate my screen and view as intended, on my desktop I can't do that.

Also in this case quite a bit of the original was lost, seeing the YouTube version is much better.

Can buy one with the money saved by pirating

I'm actually really trying to play devils advocate... But I'm struggling.

I came to get away from the main stream socials.

I came to minimise my farmed data footprint.

I came to find other like minded people.

These principals alone are shared by quite a few I guess.

If we end up hooked up to the machine we were trying to escape from then coming here was near pointless.

They both suck. I wish my phone was like a PC and I could install whatever OS I wanted.

Now we live in a day where if you deviate from the manufactures installed OS you get no hardware or warranty support.

Imagine Dell refusing warranty if you installed Linux on a server.

I lean slightly to Android, but an not happy with Google's bullshit tricks with their phones, not the bloat and bullshit on a Samsung phone.

I'll be looking for an alternative soon... But there isn't much it there if you want an affordable near flagship.

Nothing exciting here, just putting my TinySA and attenuators through their paces. Seems pretty unexciting.

0% and 1% power level measurements are probably the same and the minor deviation is just noise?

One of the attenuators is 30db/100W/DC-6GHz, the other is a push button unit, 0-60db/5W/DC-6GHz. They tested to be fairly linear.

About all that pops out is that RF power does sag a little on 2M and 70cm at 100% power setting leaving us with 9.12watts on 2M and 7.6watts on 70cm.

Searched the manual for this and came up empty. I think most of us know it's for data modes, but what exactly does it do?

I'm playing with FreeDV currently and in addition to running 14.236 USB-D i also have the Noise blanker, Notch filter and Noise reduction disabled.

I'm kinda wondering what the point of the -D mode is. Also I've had a look at the preset menu to see what functionality it brings. Potentially a few hand things there like ability to set different addresses, baud rates etc..

But neither -D mode or the presets disable the NB, NF or NR, thus when switching between voice and data modes these always have to be toggled... Leaving me wondering the point of -D is or the point of the presets?

Unless I'm missing something the vast majority of the digital modes prefer the most direct audio with minimal molestation (blankers, filters etc).

Have i got a point here or am i missing something? What does the -D mode do?

While typing the title i found some existing posts, but they don't really answer the question as well as I'd like.

The typical recommendation is to use some external web page that is not actually a lemmy instance.

This means if I'm using lemmy from within an app I have to pop into a web browser, find what I'm after copy anything needed to clipboard and pop back into the app ready to paste / re-format / search.

This sounds really not streamlined.

Other solution is to have a couple of accounts and flip between them and search each home instance for what I'm after.

I'm not sure I'm clear on what I'm asking so i'll give an example...

I'm on lemmy.world, there is a community on lemmy.radio/c/amateur_radio Let's assume i don't know this however.

a) How would i find this while logged into the lemmy.world website? b) How would i find this while logged into the lemmy.world via an app?

If this functionality does not exist that's fine, but all I've heard about federation makes me think it does exist and i haven't found it or don't understand it (hence why i think I'm asking a dumb question).

Is there a foolproof legitimate way to browse or search a list of communities on another instance without going to that instance or using a third party site?

Only one of these is often ridden on footpaths and walking areas.

The limit makes sense.

Another bullshit cars are evil post that just ignore facts and reality.

Cars can somewhat be evil but if you want to capture the attention of people you've go to post well considered arguments.

Not crap like this.

I just checked and it's almost double what I'm paying currently for 100/40 fibre.

I don't know where you got your figures but u suspect they're faulty.

At best it might be an alternative to Skymuster.

I'm trying to be as gentle and understanding of her as possible but it all comes down to her having issues with immaturity around relationships and trust issues.

First she went looking for trouble by stalking. Then she found media if your previous relationship by accident. Then she refuses to participate in healthy and reasonable discussion.

I'm trying to find a way that she's not at fault, but this is all her fault.

You are allowed to have had a life prior to meeting her, just as she's allowed to have had a life before you.

You will also have a life after each other.

If she can't put her big girl pants on and discuss an issue between immediately and 24 hours then that's bad behaviour on her part.

Far as I can see she's not yet mature enough to be in a relationship, and that's on her.

I don't know what you held back when she asked about your previous relationship, it might have been things that you're very much entitled to hold back... it not. You may or may not owe an apology for this, but she sure owes you an apology for her shitty behaviour.

This, very very much.

I can't code for shit, but am willing to put some time and effort into FOSS.

But I'm not sure what's needed, or where is needed.

Have these projects ever considered just asking for the help they need?

Anything to qualify that statement or just taking a shot? Who offers better value machines than Lenovo?
