He once found a baby rabbit about a week old in our yard and brought it in to my wife carrying it without hurting it. She took it out to where she thought it came from and put it back. A few hours later, he brought it back in. So we set up an old guinea pig habitat for it. A little while later, he brought in another. We ended up taking care of them until they were old enough to release. But he would check on them multiple times a day. I'm pretty sure the only way he would ever intentionally hurt something is if it was threatening my wife or daughter.
