And their encryption is a joke too. And I get it, key management is hard and you don't want end users to hang themselves. So for people who actually care, just don't suck our stuff up to your "encrypted at rest and in flight" cloud with a key that you control.

Surely this violated EU (at least) privacy laws? Was this buried in the TOS somewhere? All I wanted to do was use the "Read on Remarkable" feature. Note I didn't activate the subscription.

Same. I would totally spring for an accessories-only bundle. I have the two Norris pens, and the Kindle basic pen and want a heavier pen.

Is the bundle with an RM2? I bought my RM2 without any accessories and I'm liking it enough to want to spring for the official folio and Marker+. I did not activate my Connect account so I am not seeing any specisl offers besides the normal BF ones.

You can use layers to approximate custom templating behavior. The key is that a new page always starts with the custom layer right above the template. This lets you copy an existing page and then use the erase all function to clear that layer, keeping the layers above your custom layer intact.

But yeah, direct support for this kind of templating would be nice.
